Dennise Newton - Bio

Dennise is an Associate in the Commercial Practice Group of Higgs & Johnson. Dennise has an LLB from the University of London in London, England and she obtained an LLM in Maritime Law from the Bangor University in Bangor Wales. Dennise was called to the bar of England and Wales in 2019 and was called to the Bahamas bar that same year. She also has a Master’s Degree in Global Marketing from the University of Liverpool in Liverpool, England, and a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from the University of The Bahamas (formerly COB). Before embarking in law, Dennise was a teacher and part-time lecturer at The College of The Bahamas. Dennise always had an interest in the sea and enjoys swimming and snorkeling. Dennise is a certified swim coach and has taught and coached swimming for many years, many of her students went on to represent The Bahamas in international swimming competitions. Besides swimming, Dennise also enjoys reading, cooking and traveling.
